Classic comedy Back to the Future was released on 3 July 1985. Written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, the basic premises of the plot follows Marty McFly as he travels through time in a plutonium powered DeLorean back the 1950s version of his home town. Marty encounters younger versions of his parents and must ensure that they fall in love or he and his siblings will cease to exist, and then Marty must return to his own time and save his friend Doc, inventor of the time travelling DeLoren! Phew!
